Attendees and counter-protesters kept a tense distance at Halifax vigil for Charlie Kirk

“If there’s a protest or a vigil, and a counter protest shows up, you’re probably not going to get much of a conversation,” said Robert Huish,  a professor of International Development Studies at Dalhousie.

“If we’re using public spaces to have a whole bunch of competing clashes of religion, politics, all in one spot, there’s a lot of room for confusion there.
